Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant has the distinction of being the largest single power generating unit in India. Located in coastal Tamil Nadu, Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant has a capacity of generating 1000 MW power. The construction of the plant began on 31 March, 2002 and it became critical on 13 July, 2013.
